The Monett R-1 School District encourages qualified persons interested in running for a position on the School Board to file to be a candidate in the April 4, 2023 election. Interested persons may file with the Board Secretary at the district office located at 900 E. Scott St. Monett, Missouri. Filing will begin on December 6, 2022 at 8:00 a.m. and will continue during the district’s regular business hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Filing will not occur on days that the school district office is closed due to inclement weather. Filing will also not occur on the following holiday break days when the school district office is closed: Friday, December 23rd and Monday, December 26, 2022.
Filing will end on December 27, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. with the district office open on December 27th 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
There are three positions available with three-year terms. The three positions are currently held by Dr. Jeff Carr, Annie Smith, and Jared Wormington.
Candidates will be listed on the ballot in the order in which they file.
