SCHOOL BOARD ELECTIONS
PUBLIC NOTICE OF FILING
The Monett R-1 School District encourages qualified persons interested in running for a position on the School Board to file to be a candidate in the April 6, 2021 election. Interested persons may file with Board Secretary, Lonna Norman at the district office located at 900 E. Scott St. Monett, Missouri.
Filing will begin on December 15, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. and will continue during the district’s regular business hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. except for the first and last day of filing and on the following holiday break days when the office will be closed or have different closing times as follows:
December 22nd – office open 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
December 23rd – 28th - office is closed
December 29th - December 30th –office open 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
December 31st – office open 8:00 - 12:00 p.m.
January 1, 2021 – office is closed
*( Except for the first and last day of filing, filing will not occur on days that the school district's
central office is closed due to inclement weather or in the event of closure due to the
COVID-19 global pandemic. Candidates should call 417.235.7422, Ext. 1 or
email lnorman@monettschools.org to inquire if offices are open.)
Filing will end on January 19, 2021 at 5:00 p.m.
There are two (2) positions available with three-year terms. Candidates will be listed on the ballot in the order in which they file.
