Design Teams
As part of the exploration process, Monett Schools has created six design teams to take a closer look at the different areas that would need to be considered before any decision about a 150-day academic calendar is made.
Each team is examining questions, potential challenges, opportunities, and logistics within its assigned area. Their work will help the district better understand what a 150-day calendar could mean for students, families, staff, and our community.
Team 1
Curriculum and Pacing Guide Redesign: Essential Standards, pacing guides, unit designs, and assessment load.

Financial and Strategic Analysis
Work completed
A separate design team was not created for this area because the financial and strategic analysis has already been completed through the administrative process. That analysis will remain part of the district’s overall 150-day calendar review as we continue working through the logistics and considerations of implementation.
The design teams are part of the district’s exploration process. Their work will help identify questions, challenges, opportunities, and possible solutions as the district determines whether a 150-day academic calendar is a viable option for Monett Schools.
