Academics Division Home

The Academics Division is dedicated to leading all aspects of teaching and learning in Monett Schools. This division supports and guides those directly responsible for student learning, including building principals, athletic directors, teachers, counselors, instructional coaches, support staff, Cub House staff, instructional aides, and library media specialists.

The division facilitates the development, evaluation, revision, and implementation of district curriculum and assessments. It also oversees professional learning, partnering with the District Professional Development Committee to provide meaningful opportunities for growth that strengthen teaching practices and student outcomes.

Curriculum development is one of the most effective ways to improve the quality of instruction. Our curriculum is continually reviewed and adjusted to meet the needs of students while reflecting the expectations of our community. Monett Schools follows the Missouri Learning Standards, which outline the knowledge and skills students need at each grade level and course to be successful in college, career, and beyond.
