     SUMMER SCHOOL UPDATE   (June 1 - 25, 2020)

    May 15, 2020

    Dear Parents,

After discussing our re-entry plan for summer school with the local health officials, Monett R-1 has decided to proceed with a traditional Summer School plan for June. We will no longer offer a blended session for grades K-8th. High school is offering seated, blended, and online classes. Students will attend Mondays - Thursdays with Fridays off. A traditional summer school is a safer option as it prevents cross-contamination by keeping the same students in the same classroom. We will continue to hold small groups per classroom with additional safety measures (listed below).

     Summer School hours:

    • MES 8:00 - 3:12 PM
    • CPE 7:55 - 3:05 PM
    • MIS 7:50 - 3:00 PM
    • MMS 8:00 - 3:10 PM
    • MHS 7:55 - 3:05 PM
    • MRLC 7:30 - 2:30 PM

  • Equitable Service Public Notice:

The CARES Act allows ALL nonpublic schools to participate in CARES Act services whether they have or have not participated in Federal Programs before. While Missouri has a robust nonpublic registration system where most nonpublic schools are registered, we know there are nonpublic schools across the State that are not registered. We have developed and posted to our CARES Act page a Public Notice asking nonpublic schools who have not registered with us but are interested in participating in services through the CARES Act to contact Julia Cowell, Director of Federal Programs, or Theresa Villmer, Assistant Director of Federal Programs and the States Ombudsman for Equitable Services.
