JROTC

JROTC (Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps) is designed to teach high school students the value of citizenship, leadership, community service, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment while instilling self-esteem, teamwork, and discipline. Also, students will learn personal finance, health and fitness. The focus is reflected in the mission statement, “To motivate young people to be better citizens.”

JROTC is not a recruitment program for the military. Participation in JROTC incurs no military obligation. However, students choosing to go into the military have the opportunity to enter at a higher rank after completion of the program. Scholarship opportunities are available for JROTC students entering college after high school.
