Several Monett High School student-athletes earned All-State recognition during the 2025-2026 spring sports season, reflecting their dedication, talent, and outstanding performance throughout the year.
Earning All-State honors is a significant accomplishment. It represents countless hours of practice, perseverance through challenges, and a desire to grow on and off the court. These athletes have competed at a high level and represented Monett with integrity, teamwork, and pride.

Update on Facilities/Grounds by Dr. Mark Drake, superintendent, included:

Central Office: Ground remediation was completed after the new parking lot area did not pass compaction testing. Concrete is expected to be poured the first week in August.

MES: Work continues on the new driveway and parking area, with asphalt expected within two weeks. The improved traffic flow should create a smoother arrival and dismissal process. A new sidewalk is also being added near the playground for ADA accessibility.

MECC: New cabinets were installed in the teacher lounge, and a classroom received new flooring and additional electrical power.

MHS Painting: Classrooms in the MHS east wing and several MES classrooms were painted.

MMS Air Conditioning: The recommended valve work is complete, and the system is operational. Testing and monitoring will continue to ensure it is functioning properly.

Summer Projects: The maintenance team has made strong progress and will continue completing projects before teachers return.
Update on Academics by Dr. Isaac Sooter, Assistant Superintendent included:

First Year Progress: Reviewed first-year progress toward the district’s Student Focused. Future Driven. vision and The Monett Way.

Feedback: Shared feedback gathered from more than 20 grade-level and department teams, including strengths in collaboration, intervention systems, instructional coaching, relationships, and responsive leadership.

Areas of Focus: Discussed continued areas of focus, including student motivation, academic stamina, self-regulation, consistent expectations, collaboration time, and student accountability.

Curriculum Guides: Highlighted updated curriculum guides for PreK–8 ELA and math, Algebra I, and government, along with future work in science, writing, and sixth-grade ELA intervention.
- The Board also received a preview of the staff back-to-school presentation.
