Musical Opportunity - America's 250th Birthday

Monett Families, Alumni, Staff, and Community Members,

We are excited to announce a new musical opportunity for our community as we celebrate a historic milestone—America's 250th Birthday!

The Monett Band Program is organizing the Monett "America 250" Community Concert Band, a special ensemble that will perform as part of Monett's Fourth of July Celebration in South Park on July 4, 2026.

This ensemble is open to current band students, band alumni, school staff, local music educators, and community musicians. Whether you currently perform on a regular basis or haven't picked up your instrument in years, we invite you to join us for this unique opportunity to make music together.

Music has always been a powerful way to bring people together, and we hope this ensemble will celebrate not only our nation's history but also the strong sense of community that makes Monett special.

Rehearsals will be held on:
• June 23
• June 25
• June 30
• July 2

The ensemble will perform on:
Saturday, July 4, 2026
South Park – Monett, Missouri

Our hope is that this ensemble becomes more than a one-time event. While we are launching the group as part of the America 250 celebration, we would love to see it grow into an annual tradition that brings generations of Monett musicians together each summer.
