Trisha Henry Named MEMO New Teacher of the Year
Springfield, MO – The Marketing Educators of Missouri (MEMO), a division of MOACTE and ACTE, is proud to recognize Trisha Henry, Marketing Instructor at Scott Regional Technology Center, as the recipient of the 2025 MEMO New Teacher of the Year Award. The award was presented at MEMO’s annual conference, held July 22 in Springfield, Missouri.
Now in just her third year of teaching marketing, Trisha Henry has already distinguished herself as a rising leader. Known for her dynamic instruction, high expectations, and unwavering belief in student potential, Trisha embodies the qualities of innovation, professionalism, and student-centered teaching that this award seeks to honor.
“Trish sets the bar high—not just for her students, but for herself,” said Krista Doss, fellow educator and colleague. “Her students consistently rise to meet those expectations because they know she believes in them. She equips them with the skills and confidence to succeed both in competition and in life.”
Trisha has already made a significant impact through her management of the Scotty Store, a thriving student-run school-based enterprise. Under her leadership, students gain real-world marketing experience by managing everything from product selection and branding to inventory, promotions, and customer service. This hands-on opportunity gives students the tools to apply classroom learning in meaningful, career-focused ways.
Her students have not only earned industry certifications but have also excelled in DECA competitions, representing their school and the state of Missouri with professionalism and pride. “Their confidence and preparation are a reflection of the excellence Trish models every day in her classroom,” said Doss.
Beyond the classroom, Trisha serves as a DECA advisor and active contributor to the CTE community. Her leadership and energy have already inspired both students and fellow educators statewide.
