Parents/Guardian,

In Gov. Parsons recent Press Release, proper mask wear is now being considered in the quarantine process. "This means that if both individuals at school - the person diagnosed with COVID-19 and the person exposed to the positive case - have masks on and are wearing them correctly, the individual exposed does not need to quarantine for class only." This does not include sports or extracurricular activities.

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education released information on sports and extracurricular activities. “Persons identified as close contacts but not required to quarantine for school, per the modified guidance, cannot continue to participate in sports or other extracurricular school-related activities. This modified guidance does not authorize a close contact to participate in a school associated sports, extracurricular activities, or any other activities outside of the school setting. Other than attending school, close contacts should continue to quarantine.

The following information includes winter Covid-19 restrictions and spectator guidelines for sports.

Please understand that our primary goals are:

  1. The safety of our students and community.

  2. The ability of our students to continue to attend in-person school daily.

  3. Help ensure that our student-athletes have the opportunity to compete and complete their athletic seasons with as few interruptions as possible. We believe that these guidelines will aid us in achieving these goals.
