Parents/Guardian,

We had a successful day of distributing devices and student packets across the district. At this time, we are not sure what the weather will bring next week. If the weather continues as forecasted and cancelation is necessary, we will move forward with connected learning. Students are expected to complete and turn in the assignments received. However, connected learning is not intended to stress students, parents, or guardians. Our goal is for students to take connected learning one day at a time and reinforce previously learned material. All teachers have office hours and will be available to students that need help. If students cannot reach a teacher, email the building principal or assistant principal; they will help students connect with teachers.

Connected learning or AMI (Alternative Methods of Instruction) allows the district to hold virtual school days and not make up snow days at the end of the school year.

We understand connected learning is new for everyone. If you have questions or need clarification on anything, reach out to your teachers or building principal. We will work through connected learning together.

On behalf of the Monett School District staff and BOE, we would like to express our sincerest appreciation to our Monett families for staying up to date on school communication, for being patient, flexible, and supportive.

Thank you,

Monett Schools
