Welcome from the Superintendent:

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Monett R-I School District.  I am excited to be a part of the Monett school community and look forward to working with students, staff, parents and the community to help the district continue to grow and meet the needs of all students.  We want to continue to create a culture that promotes positive relationships and provides high quality learning opportunities for all students within our district. Monett has been and will continue to be a leading district for promoting technology, providing personalized learning and exploring new avenues for expanding opportunities for students while maintaining basic instructional principles. If there is anything I can do to assist you, please do not hesitate to contact the central office so we can work together for the betterment of our students.

    Russ Moreland, Superintendent of Schools

    Welcome from the Assistant Superintendent:

Welcome to Monett R-1 Schools, the home of the Cubs! It is an exciting time in education and I am honored to be part of a district with a statewide reputation for excellence and innovation. Monett schools have a tradition of preparing students for their futures, and that is still true today. With the help of dedicated teachers, our students are gaining the skills they will need to compete on a global scale. To keep pace, our classrooms look a little different from the classrooms many of us attended. Students now have access to powerful technology that allows them to connect with other learners around the world, and learn anywhere at anytime. Students can work on homework, participate in class discussions, conduct research and share their findings with the world all from their living room. Learning no longer needs to be confined within the walls of the classroom. Yes, it is an exciting time to be a Monett Cub! Thank you for visiting our website and we if we can help in any way, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
