Mrs. Susan Childress

Susan Childress is entering her fifth year as the Family and Consumer Sciences Instructor at Monett High School. Her courses include: Intro to FACS, Foods 1, Foods 2, Fashion, Child Development, and Careers. Mrs. Childress also serves as the adviser of FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) and FTA (Future Teachers of America).

Mrs. Childress is a Monett High School graduate and earned her Bachelor of Science in Education at Missouri State University. She started her career as an elementary school teacher at Monett Elementary from 1993-1995, and then spent 18 years as a stay-at-home mom to her three children. Mrs. Childress enjoys teaching FACS because it involves all of her favorite things including: family, cooking, fashion, and inspiring students to achieve their life goals.
