Roaring River in the Fall
  • I am glad to meet you. It is a privilege to teach your child art. I really want my students to love and appreciate art for life. The fine arts are very important. They help our students to do well in all of their other academic courses. I have been teaching art for many years, and I am a practicing artist. My area of expertise is in painting and drawing. My Master of Fine Arts is from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I've shown my art internationally, nationally and regionally. It is going to be a wonderful year, I'm looking forward to meeting all of you.

  • These are the classes I will be teaching this year: Art Portfolio, Advanced Art, 2-Dimensional Art, 3-Dimensional Art, Art & Design, and Contemporary Art. Our art classes are project based. We learn skills and medium as we need them. For example, if a student is learning how to use watercolor, we'll practice how to use the paint starting with the lightest color, we'll learn about saturation, and so much more and then be ready to make art. Art is fun and I want to keep it that way. Contemporary Art will meet two times a week and the other time will be online.
