Ms. Amy Sampson

Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Amy Sampson

My name is Amy Sampson. This is my 17th year of teaching and 15th in Monett. I'm committed to pushing students to grow as writers and readers and preparing them for life after high school. I coordinate Community Service Day and volunteer with Cubs on the Run and Walk to School Days. If you're taking the ACT this year, I tutor and coach students to help them reach their goals! I graduated with an associate's degree from Ozark Christian College, a bachelor's degree from Missouri Southern State University, and master's degrees from Missouri State University and Grand Canyon University. I'm admittedly a nerd.

In my free time I run, bike, swim, travel, sleep, am a photographer, play guitar, and listen to (mostly NPR) podcasts and read copious amounts of non-fiction. My dogs, Huck and Lucy, run with me sometimes. I'm always learning! Some of my favorite accomplishments include: I've been to all 50 states, 27 countries, I scored over 1000 points playing college basketball, I co-wrote the fight song lyrics at MSSU in Joplin, ran a marathon last year in 4 hours flat, and have won over 20 national and local photography awards. I also am an Ironman! (140.6 and 70.3, both).
